MY CAREER STORY
In 2015, my career took an interesting turn. Until that point, I was a veterinary nurse with a passion for puppies and a knack for helping my colleagues to excel at their jobs. Already training on a part time basis, I worked my personal network to amplify the opportunities to deliver more training. Through personal motivation and optimism, I decided to officially transition into training and teaching. Recognized as a subject matter expert but with a lack of formal training, I decided to return to school.
I began the instructional design program based on conversations with professors and advisors. With a passion for learning and helping others improve performance and achieve success, I rapidly realized my professional niche in designing curricula and creating eLearning instruction for students and working professionals. I find it to be a genuinely rewarding experience to see a student’s eyes light up as they learn new topics and skills.
I recently earned a master’s degree in instructional design to complement my background in delivering in person and online presentations and training.
