$180 million international injection molded plastics supplier to automotive industry. Held executive management responsibilities over all operating facilities and 1,300 employees.

  • $6 million saved for company through operational and capacity enhancements, caused by effective planning and facilitation of 223 hands-on, employee-driven Kaizen workshops.
  • Generated more than $70 million in new customer sales by improving overall customer experience and company operations.
2000 – 2002

Director of Lean Manufacturing
$2.6 billion global supplier of injection molded plastics and assembly systems. Piloted enterprise institution while directing global implementation of lean manufacturing systems.

  • Eliminated 100% of quality issues while simultaneously reducing labor costs 97% and increasing production.
  • Led global lean transformation and implementation initiative, leading to direct savings exceeding $100 million.
  • Positioned company for $75 million in new sales growth through enterprise-wide facilities enhancement and sustained record of operational excellence.
1992 – 2000

Secondary Tooling Manager & Lean Manufacturing Manager
$1 billion Tier I automotive supplier with 8,000 employees serving industry leading automotive manufacturers. Responsible for setting up all new program processes including having all primary and secondary tooling design and built. Also responsible for the establishment and launch of the lean manufacturing system used to maximize product quality and profitability.

1983 – 1992

Machinist – Secondary Tooling Manager – Assembly Division Manager
Started off working as a machinist and maintenance mechanic and worked my way up to the secondary tooling manager and eventually was put in charge of my own assembly division responsible for production and management of over 100 employees.

  • $40 million operational cost savings generated by personally drafting and implementing lean manufacturing system across 17 production facilities (LDM Technologies | Director of Lean Manufacturing).
  • Innovated, designed and built robotic assembly system deemed not feasible, eliminating 100% of quality issues while cutting labor costs (LDM Technologies | Director of Lean Manufacturing).
  • Achieved ahead of schedule and under budget completion of 100% of external vendor projects through effective negotiating, cost justifications and competitive bidding (Aeroquip | Secondary Tooling Manager).
